Fit Club every, Wednesday in the Main hall, Stoneyford Community Centre @ 19.00hrs. All welcome.

Bowls:

Short Mat Bowls in Stoneyford Community Centre @ 2.30 every Wednesday . This is a great game that everyone can participate in. Please feel free to call in to see for yourself, or to give the game a try.

Stoneyford Active Retirement Group:

Art Classes: Classes have begun in the hall every Wednesday 10.00 to12.00 beginning 18 Jan. 2023. The demand for these classes was very high and the class is oversubscribed and will not be taking more students.

SARG is a very active, vibrant group of retirees who participate in a range of activities.

They include a number of regular activities in the Community Centre at 2.30p.m. from 22nd. September (and every second Thursday throughout the year).  We play cards (25’s) (€5).  

Also on Wednesday nights the Fit Club with Seamus Nugent resumes at 7.00p.m. (€7).  

At 11.30a.m. on 15th. and 29th. September (and every second Thursday throughout the year), we play 10 Pin Bowling in K Bowl in McDonagh Junction, Kilkenny (€7, which includes  refreshments).  

Throughout the year, depending on interest, other activities/classes are arranged. If you are interested in participating in any of our activities, just turn up at the appropriate time.

Groundperson  –  (CE Scheme):

The Community Employment Scheme  is  looking to recruit a Groundperson for the area around Hugginstown and Newmarket.

Duties to include:

General  Up-Keep and Cleaning of Community Areas, Walkways, Graveyards and Flower Beds, Cutting Grass, Hedge Cutting and Litter Removal.

Eligibility to participate on CE Scheme is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying Social Welfare Payment for over one year or more.

A Lecture on “County Kilkenny and Some Links to 100 Years of the Revenue Commissioners”. 

The Speaker will be  Mr Brian White.
