Spaisteoirí:
On Monday 25th last the Walking With Friends group headed off to Heywood Gardens for a visit. There was a chilling wind, both literal and metaphorical, blowing form the east but our intrepid walkers braved all. It was an ideal day for walking and the surroundings were breathtaking. One could not have wished for better. The group explored the entire area and even visited the beautiful town of Ballinakill. Unfortunately Ballinakill was not open for business and we adjourned to Bowe’s Foothill and Cafe in Durrow for lunch where there was a lively discussion of our impressions of Heywood Gardens.
