Stoneyford Text Alert:
Subscriptions for 2020/2021 were due in July but unfortunately only about 20% of people paid which means the text alert service will not be able to continue next year. At only €10.00 this is a valuable and proven service. You can still pay your subscription by placing €10.00 and your mobile number in an envelope and drop to Willie’s Shop or Malzard’s Bar. Go to Stoneyford Text Alert on Facebook for further information!
Stoneyford Tidy Towns
Volunteers are busy getting ready for flower planting season and all the other jobs that need to be done over the summer months. The Tidy Towns Group are responsible for the upkeep of the village; cutting grass, keeping the weeds at bay, litter control etc. All this however comes at a cost. If you would like to help you can place your donation in an envelope in Willie’s Shop. Willie himself will provide you with the envelope! If you would like to become involved with the group just put a note in the envelope and a member of the committee will contact you.
Will resume when possible.

Kilkenny Volunteer Centre:
Kilkenny now has a new Volunteer Centre established to help promote Volunteering throughout the county through a variety of initiatives. They are passionate about the benefits of volunteering both for individuals and not-for-profit organisations. They are hoping to engage with local communities in the not-too-distant future through some outreach initiatives. At the moment they are helping recruit Welcome Team Volunteers for the summer months to act as ambassadors throughout the city. Volunteers will be available to offer helpful information to visitors and play a role in supporting business and local attractions getting back on their feet after months of closures.
Other roles can also be seen on their website : www.volunteerkilkenny.ie .
