- The Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club will come together on Tuesday 11th. February from 2.00p.m in Carroll’s, Knocktopher”. Mass will be celebrated there and it will include the Sacrament of the Sick, to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes (‘World Day of the Sick’). All are very welcome.

Confirmation Preparation: (Commitment Ceremony)
Masses in preparation for Confirmation (Commitment Ceremony) will be celebrated on
Saturday 8th. February in Stoneyford Church at 6.30p.m.:

Book Shop:
St Mary’s Cathedral Book & Gift Shop stocks a large selection of books, rosaries, crucifixes, gifts and cards. There are over 40 different Bibles on display. It has recently received new stock for First Communion and Confirmation gifts. It also has Irish language Mass Cards, Mass Bouquets and First Communion Rosettes. Opening times, Tuesday to Friday, from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.

Annual Mass to Remember Victims of Crime:
You are invited to attend a special Mass to remember victims of crime on Sunday, 23rd. February at 12 noon in Knock Basilica. This Mass is in association with the Federation for Victim Assistance and supports European Victim of Crime Day to remember all who suffer at the hands of criminals throughout the island of Ireland and Europe. Preparation for Lent:
The Diocesan Liturgy Committee will present an evening of preparation for Lent and Holy Week in St Fiacre’s Church on Monday 17th. February at 7.30 p.m. Fr Dan Carroll; Ms. Maeve Mahon (Faith Development Services, Kildare and Leighlin Diocese) and Fr. Richard Scriven will present an evening on The Liturgy and Scripture of Lent and Holy Week and on Music and Psalms for Lent and Holy Week. Choir Rehearsal for the Mass of Chrism will take place on Sunday April 5th. at 3.30p.m. in St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Foster Carers:
The Kilkenny Tusla Fostering Team is currently recruiting Foster Carers for long/short term placements; weekend and respite placements of children aged 0-18. Family Carers Ireland:
Family Carers Ireland is holding a support group for relatives of a loved one with a mental health issue on Wednesday 5th. February at 7.00p.m. in The Springhill Clinic, Waterford Road, Kilkenny. All are welcome.
