‘Text Alert’  for Newmarket/Hugginstown Area:

The Annual Subscription of €10.00  is now due. This may be paid by dropping the money in an envelope with your name and mobile number, into Fitzgerald’s or Irish’s in Hugginstown. This year, we plan to add additional Text Alert signs around the community and work on raising the overall profile of Text Alert in our area. We appreciate your co-operation on this.

South Kilkenny Historical Society:

Winter Solstice at Knockroe on Saturday, December 21st.  Meeting time at 2.00p.m outside Owning Church.  A free shuttle bus will operate from Owning Church car park to Knockroe,returning at approximately 5.00p.m. All are welcome.

Irish Blood Transfusion Service:

The Mobile Clinic will visit

The Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny on Monday 16th. and Tuesday 17th. December from 4.30p.m. to 8.00p.m. The I.B.T.S. is at present experiencing difficulty in collecting enough voluntary blood donations in order to meet hospital requirements of 3,000 units of blood a week. Please donate, it will make a difference.
