Stoneyford 10k:
On Sunday 19th. May the Annual Stoneyford 10k Challenge will take place in the village at 11.30am. Current entries indicate that this will be another record year for the event. All participants will receive a bespoke medal, a goodie bag packed with top quality family produced goodies as well as the usual delicious post race food. This is a huge community event, with almost every family represented either as a participant or volunteer. The 10k caters for all abilities, from the casual walker to the speedy runner, so get out and get involved on the day.
The school children of Scoil Chiaráin Naofa will also complete their long worked marathon, having run 1km every day for the last couple of months. The children 1k dash event is prior to the 10k and kicks off at 11.00a.m., with children from all over the parish and outside invited to come along for the fun.
Entries for both events are on the day from 10.00a.m. to 11.00a.m., or on Saturday 18th. from 3.00p.m. to 5.00p.m.pm.

As young people they dreamed of raising an All-Ireland Hurling Trophy in Croke Park. Their bodies may have prevented them from playing for their Club, but nothing will stop these striped crusaders from being part of their team.

Rothe House & Garden Plant Sale
Rothe House & Garden, Parliament Street, Kilkenny will be holding a plant sale on Saturday May 25th between 11am and 2pm. A limited selection of plants will be available to purchase. A tour of the restored Tudor garden will also take place at 2pm hosted by our resident gardener Mary Pyke. Both events are admission free and all are warmly welcome to attend.
