The Quiet Revolution of Pope Francis:

On the evening of the 15th. May at 7.30pm in St Kieran’s College, Fr Gerry O’Hanlon S.J. will lead a conversation on an understanding of the Church in light of the Ministry of Pope Francis.  All welcome.

New Mission Team in Ossory Diocese:

The formation of a New Mission Team in Ossory Diocese is being explored.  Its aim will be to promote and foster Mission Awareness in Parishes and in the Diocese.  Interested parishioners and especially those who have worked overseas on mission/development work are invited and welcome to become involved.

Vocations Day:

World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be observed on Sunday, May 12th.  also known as “Good Shepherd Sunday.”     The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfil the Lord’s instruction to, “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send labours into his Harvest” (Mt. 9:38; Lk. 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the Priesthood, Diaconate and Religious Life. Rosary for Faith and life:

“Childhood”:

St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth will host a conference on the subject of “Childhood” on June 7th. and  8th .  The keynote speaker is Annemie Dillen from KULeaven and it will include a number of Plenary and  Workshop sessions on topics as varied as Children and the Spirituality of Motherhood and Children’s  Rights and Catholic Faith.
