South Kilkenny Historical Society:
The Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 21st. at 8.00p.m. The meeting will be followed by ‘Kilkenny 685’ (January 1966). This is a Radharc Documentary which deals with the setting up of Voluntary Social Services under the leadership of Bishop Peter Birch, former Bishop of Ossory.
A Lecture ‘The Beginning of the War of Independence in Kilkenny’ will be given by Eoin Swithin Walsh on Friday, March 1st at 8.00p.m. Both events will take place in Mullinavat Parish Hall (opposite Church). All are welcome.
