Ossory Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes:

Parish Pastoral Council Meeting:

A discussion took place on a document sent by Bishop Dermot Farrell to all parishes setting out a proposal for Pastoral Areas in the Diocese.  The reality is that the Diocese of Ossory is no longer in a position to maintain a resident priest in every parish.  The proposal sets out how the Diocese intends to organise the parishes and make provision for the celebration of the Sacraments in all communities. The 42 Parishes in the Diocese are divided into 14 Pastoral Areas.  It is proposed that the parishes of Aghaviller, Ballyhale and Mullinavat will form a Pastoral Area in which the three parishes will work together. 

Bishop Dermot Farrell intends to visit all Pastoral Areas in the Diocese during Lent this year and meet with Parish Pastoral Councils and Parish Finance Committees of the areas.

2. Child Safeguarding c. Implementations of GDPR Legislation.
3. Parish Insurance of protected structures.
