Irish Blood Transfusion Service:
The Mobile Clinic will visit The Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny on this Sunday 30th. December from 11.30a.m. to 3.00p.m. The I.B.T.S. is at present experiencing difficulty in collecting enough voluntary blood donations in order to meet hospital requirements of 3,000 units of blood a week. Please donate.
“Give up yer aul Bikes for Africa”:
The Rotary Club of Kilkenny at Dunmore Recycling Centre are collecting unwanted bikes and forwarding them to people in Africa. Bikes will be first transported to Loughan House Open Prison in Cavan, refurbishment by prisoners and transported to Africa.
Please “Re-Cycle” and help transform the daily lives of other who are less fortunate.
Be Safe over the New Year:
If you are leaving your home even for a short time, do lock all external doors and windows. Make sure all candles and naked lights are out before you leave or before you retire to bed. Be extra careful on the roads during the Christmas season and do show care for others. Safe Driving! With the ‘Text Alert’ in operation please be vigilant and always be aware there is always Garda help close at hand.
