Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:

The Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club will resume their ‘Get Together’ on Tuesday 11th. September in “Gáirdín an Ghorta” from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. After a good summer break the Social Club would welcome new members for the coming year.  All are very welcome.

A Lecture on “Tales of Emigration to Canada from Ballyvoole, Haggard and Kilshannig” will be given by Maryellen and Richard Corcelli on Thursday, September 20th. at 8.00p.m. in Mullinavat Parish Hall.

Memory Technology  Resource Room:

The Memory Technology Resource Room is run by an Occupational Therapist and showcases a wide variety of assistive equipment.  The Room is open every Tuesday on the grounds of St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown.  It is free to attend and it provides people with memory difficulties and their carers the opportunity to see and discuss the benefits of assistive technology equipment that is now available. World Alzheimer Society Month:

In celebration of  World Alzheimer Society Month on Tuesday 18th September our Kilkenny Day Care Centre, 1 Fr Walsh Close, Coote’s Lane, Kilkenny City is holding an Open Day. All persons who wish to view our service are welcome.
