Memory Technology Resource Room:
The Memory Technology Resource Room is run by an Occupational Therapist and showcases a wide variety of assistive equipment. The Room is open every Tuesday on the grounds of St. Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown. It is free to attend and it provided people with memory difficulties and their carers the opportunity to see and discuss the benefits of assistive technology equipment that is now available. Are you caring for a loved one with Dementia?
Caring for a loved one with Dementia can be a very rewarding experience; however, it can also be very challenging for many carers. Some carers cope well with these challenges and are considered resilient. St. Vincent’s University Hospital is seeking feedback from a broad range of family carers, to promote the EnCaRe resource. A workshops will take place in The Springhill Court Hotel, Kilkenny on September 11th. from 10:00a.m to 1:00p.m. There will be refreshments at the meeting, followed by lunch after the workshop.
Participants will be invited to engage in with other family carers to tell of their experiences in care giving. If you are interested in participating in these workshops or would like more information on the project please contact Kevin Deegan on +353 85 852 9352or email kevin@carealliance.ie
