ParishCorpus Christi’ Processions:

The‘Corpus Christi’ Processions will take place on next Sunday 3rd. June (Feast of ‘Corpus Christi’) after both Masses.  At Stoneyford Church at 10.00a.m. and Hugginstown Church at 11.00a.m.   All those who received their First Holy Communion in the parish this year together with their parents and families are invited to take part.

Diocesan Annual “Corpus Christi” Procession

  1. Bishop Dermot Farrell will lead the Annual ‘Corpus Christi’ Procession on this Sunday, 3rd June.
  2. At 2.00 p.m. Gather for prayer at the Capuchin Friary, Friary Street, Kilkenny.
  3. At 2.30 p.m. Process through Parnell Street –  Prayer at James’s Green before continuing to St. Mary’s Cathedral for Solemn Benediction.

Baptism:

Congratulations to Evelyn Maeve Dalton and her parents Mairéad and Emmet.

Evelyn was baptised in Hugginstown Church on Sunday 27th. May.

Newmarket School:

The Parents Association would like to invite all Past and Present Pupils and all Parishioners to the Retirement Celebrations for Tom Duggan in Hugginstown on Friday 22nd. June.  Mass will be celebrated in Hugginstown Church at 7.00p.m.   Presentations and Refreshments will follow in Hugginstown Community Centre.  All are very welcome.

Visit of Holy Family Icon to Diocese of Ossory: 

The Holy Family Icon has been journeying through the Dioceses of Ireland for the last number of months in preparation for the World Meeting of Families which takes place in Dublin from August 21st. to 26th. .  The Icon will be present in the Diocese of Ossory from June 11th. to 16th. and arrives in Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank at 12.00 Noon on Wednesday June 13th.  A Prayer Service for the Parishes in the Southern Deanery will take place on Wednesday June 13th. at 7.30p.m. in Ferrybank Church to which the people of Aghaviller Parish are invited and welcome.

June Collection:

The “June Collection2018for the support of the priests of the Parish and the Diocese will be taken up during the month of June.  Envelopes for this collection are available in Porch.

“Walking Together as Families Today”:

Gathering in Preparation for the World Meeting of Families will be held in St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, on 19th. and 20th. June.  Speakers, Workshops, Conversations, Prayer, and much more, on variety of topics relating to Family Life Today. Tickets available on www.eventbrite.ie  For further information contact Aoife at specialevents@spcm.ie
