The Forthcoming Referendum:

The Eight Amendment to the Constitution, established in a Referendum in 1983, states   “The State acknowledges the right to the life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right”.  To repeal the Eighth Amendment means that the above text will be replaced with “That provision may be made by law for the regulation of termination of pregnancy”.  Will this replacement text in the Constitution protect all life including the unborn child?

Should Abortion be a Choice?

When it comes to the right to choose, there is a tendency to forget that there is another person involved, an innocent person who has no choice and who depends entirely on others for protection. Abortion is the direct and intentional ending of the life of an unborn baby.  It deceives women, and men, by creating a culture where the decision to end the life of an unborn child is portrayed as simply a matter of individual “choice”.
