Stoneyford Text Alert:
Meeting for Stoneyford Text Alert this Wednesday 18th April at 8pm at the Community Centre. The meeting will be chaired by members of Thomastown Garda Station where they will provide an update on Text Alert and its importance to community and village life. In attendance will be Sgt Ted Hughes and Garda Janet Gough. This is a great opportunity for the members of our community to meet our new local Garda Tina Walsh. The annual subscription of €10 is now due for all subscribers to the service and we would like to welcome some new members too.

Congratulations to the girls from our local Stoneyford national school with their recent success in the FAI primary schools soccer 5 a-side. Clodagh O’Neill, Aoibhin Dunphy, Olivia Dunphy, Ellie Moran, Katie Grace, Rebecca & Lynn Fennelly and Kayla Hockey.
Carrickshock GAA:
Carrickshock minors (U17) make the trip to Jenkinstown on Wednesday 18th to take on Conahy in the 2nd round of the league, throw-in 7.0. Under 19s travel to Tullogher on Sunday morning next 22nd where they face Tullogher in the 1st Round of the new league, throw-in 11.30

A Lecture on “Putting Ireland on Four Wheels” by Dr. Austin O’Sullivan will be given in Mullinavat Parish Hall on Thursday April 26that 8.00p.m.

‘Anam Cara’:
The organisation supports bereaved parents; it will hold its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 16thApril from 7.30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. ‘Anam Cara’ offers a safe and comfortable setting where you can ‘drop the mask’ and be yourself among people who understand. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, or the circumstances of their death.
Women’s ACTS Retreat:
Retreat will take place in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Castletown, Co. Laois from Thursday, 19th. to Sunday, 22nd. April.
