New Vicar General:

Bishop Dermot Farrell has appointed Fr. Dan Cavanagh,  P.P. Rosbercon as Vicar General for the Diocese of Ossory. Fr. Dan will assist Bishop Dermot in his ministry as Bishop of Ossory.  We ask God’s blessing on both of them in their work in the Diocese..

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes:

The Annual Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from Tuesday, 22nd. May to Sunday, 27th. Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:

The Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club will have their ‘Get Together’ on Tuesday 17th. April in “Gáirdín an Ghorta”.  from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m..  All are very welcome                                                                                                                       

‘Anam Cara’:

The organisation supports bereaved parents; it will hold its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 16thApril from 7.30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.  ‘Anam Cara’ offers a safe and comfortable setting where you can ‘drop the mask’ and be yourself among people who understand. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, or the circumstances of their death.

‘The Poor Clares’:

‘The Poor Clares’ in Galway are hosting a Cloister day on Saturday, April 21st.  from 10.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.  The day is designed to help young women between the ages of 21 and 40 to find out more about ‘The Poor Clare’ way of life with a view to vocation discernment. Women’s ACTS Retreat:

Retreat will take place in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Castletown, Co. Laois from Thursday, 19th. to Sunday, 22nd. April. This is a weekend of peace, prayer, tranquillity and camaraderie, among a group of likeminded women. Family Carers Ireland:

A Mini-Marathon takes place on the Bank Holiday, Monday 7th. May; beginning  from the Aspect Hotel,  Waterford Rd. Kilkenny at 11.00am. Register online at www.runireland.com, or at the Centre at The Springhill Medical Centre, Waterford Rd., Kilkenny from Monday to Friday up to 5.00p.m. You can also register on the day before 11.00a.m.
