New Street Lighting.
New low energy street lighting was installed in the village recently. The lit area is a more compact one and some residents expressed security concerns for their properties and premises as a result of the reduced area lit.
Carrickshock GAA Club.
The Under 21 team are still involved in the 2017 county championship and are due to play Piltown at Piltown in the County U21B on Sunday next 5th November at 12.30pm.
Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:
Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 7th. November at 2.15p.m at Gairdín an Ghorta, Newmarket for the Faithful Departed. All are asked to bring Memory Cards of relatives to be remembered during the Mass. All are very welcome.
Bingo:
Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30p.m.
Pilgrimage to the Holy Land:

Membership is due for renewal on 1st. November. The €10.00 subscription for the year will be collected between 7.00p.m and 9.00p.m on Wednesday 1st. November in Hugginstown Community Hall. Thanks for your continued support and new members are most welcome.
St Peter’s Church of Ireland Ennisnag:
We welcome Rev James Mulhall to our community as the new ‘priest in charge’ of Kell’s Union with Inistioge including St Peter’s Church, Ennisnag. Diocesan Clergy and members of the Kells parish and the wider community gathered recently to welcome him and his wife, Suzanne, and their two children, to the area. James will also be continuing in his role as Children’s Ministry Officer in the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory with special responsibility for Safeguarding Trust (the Church of Ireland’s child protection policy) and resourcing children’s ministry.
James succeeds the Reverend Martin Hilliard who retired last Easter and comes to the parish with substantial life experience having been a Roman Catholic priest for 12 years and later a HSE social worker prior to his licensing for ministry in the Church of Ireland in 2009.
Tidy Towns Winter Clean Up. Volunteers required for a pre winter clean up on SATURDAY 11th November at 10.30am. Meet at Stoneyford Community Centre.
