St Luke’s Hospital Memorial Mass:
St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny will be holding its Annual Memorial Mass for all deceased patients of the Hospital on Tuesday, October 17th. at 7.30p.m. This year, the Mass will take place in St Canice’s Church, Kilkenny . We extend a very warm welcome to all families who have been bereaved during the past year. The names of those who died at St Luke’s Hospital between September 1st. 2016 and August 31st. 2017 will be displayed close to the Altar. All attending the Mass will be invited to light a candle on arrival at the church and place it close to the display of names before Mass begins. Family members and Staff members of the hospital along with the choir of St Canice’s Church will participate in the Liturgy. All are invited to tea and refreshments afterwards.
Irish Blood Transfusion Service:
The Mobile Clinic will visit The Carraig Hotel, Carrick on Suir on Tuesday 17th. October from 5.00p.m to 8.30p.m. and on Wednesday 18th. October from 3.00p.m. to 5.00p.m. and from 7.00p.m. to 9.00p.m. An appeal to donate blood to help the hospitals to cope with the increasing demand from patients and hospitals in the region

Taizé Youth Trip 2018:
A youth trip to Taizé in France organised by Ossory Youth will take place from 24th. June to 1st. July 2018. A week in Taize is an opportunity for reflection and contemplation and it is a week of meeting young people from different countries and cultures where new friendships are made. Over 100,000 young people from around the world make the trip to Taizé each year. The trip is open to Transition year, 5th year and Leaving Cert students. Numbers are confined to 25 young people. “Anam Cara”:
Anam Cara, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 16th. October from 7:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.
Mission Sunday:
Next Sunday we will celebrate Mission Sunday. We are asked to pray and support all Missionaries across the world, to share the Gospel of Christ with all nations. Those who have never heard the message of Jesus are given a chance to experience the love of Christ and to know the support of our Church family. We pray that we may remain strong in our own witness to Christ’s love and may our lives and example help to bring that message of Christ to those we meet every day.
