Senior Hurling
The Senior Hurlers kept their league campaign on track on Saturday with a win over Erin’s Own, 3-13 to 1-16. It leaves all to play for in the final round game against Mullinavat in Piltown next Tuesday, 22nd – a win could put Carrickshock into the League or Shield finals, while defeat could leave us in a Relegation battle.
Junior Hurling
The Junior A’s lost out in the South Championship semi-final on Sunday against Thomastown. Down 5 points at half-time, they scored 3 early points in the 2nd half to get right back in it, but the next score, a goal for THomastown, proved decisive. Final score 1-17 to 1-13.
Under 16 Championship
The Under 16s got their championship off to a good start with a win over Dicksboro B in the 1st round on Friday evening. They’re into a quarter final against St. Patrick’s on Monday evening (14th) at 7.0 in Callan.
Minor League
The minors suffered their 1st defeat of the league campaign to table toppers St. Patrick’s last Tuesday. They play the final round against O’Loughlin’s on Friday evening (18th) at 7.30 in St. John’s Park, a win would put them right back in contention.
