Carrickshock & Hospital Herbertstown
There was a great buzz around for the Feile weekend with the visit of the boys of Hospital / Herbertsown (Limerick) and the girls of Cillard (Kerry). It was a fantastic experience for us as hosts and for our visitors. It gave us a chance to see first hand what all the hype of Feile is about, and it really did live up to the hype. And the glorious sunshine did help too!
Both Carrickshock hurling & camogie teams put on great performances to make the semi-final of the Shield competitions. We found out early on that the visitors were going to take some stopping, and this proved to be the case – both of them not surprisingly winning out the Cup competitions.The visitors were treated to great hospitality by
the numerous host families throughout the parish and a great night of entertainment with BBQ and Disco on Saturday night. The club would like to acknowledge and thank all the local families and sponsors for all their cooperation in bringing the whole event together – it couldn’t have happened without you!
