Congratulations to Patrick James Kevin Cogley, Chapel View and his parents Debbie and Ken.

Patrick was baptised in Stoneyford Church on Saturday 25th. March.

Sacrament of Healing and Reconciliation:

The Sacrament of Healing and Reconciliation for Easter will be celebrated during Masses this Saturday 1st. April 2017.

In Stoneyford Church during the 6.30p.m. Mass;   and in Hugginstown Church during the 8.00p.m. Mass.

World Meeting of Families 2018:
On Saturday 8th. April, Knock Shrine will host a day for families in preparation for the World Meeting of Families taking place from 21st. to 26th. August 2018. This will be a day-long event, the main purpose of which is to invite families to the National Shrine and help them to prepare for the World Meeting of Families next year. It is also an important aspect of trying to link in with Pope Francis’ message of renewal of faith in Ireland and of the family. For further information Tel: 094 937 5355.

A special thanks to all Donors who attended their Clinic in Carrick-on-Suir recently.

Kilkenny Coeliac Support Group:

The next meeting of the will take place in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre, on Monday April 3rd. at 8.00pm.

Bingo:

Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30p.m.

Annual Remembrance Ceremony:

St Luke’s Hospital will be holding its Annual Remembrance Ceremony for families who have been bereaved by the death of their child through miscarriage, still-birth, in early infancy or childhood years. This Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 26th. in St Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, Kilkenny at 8.00p.m.

Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:

The next ‘Get Together’ will be on Tuesday 4th. April from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. in “Gáirdín an Ghorta”, Newmarket.

All are very welcome to attend.

Lenten Stations:

Many thanks to all who contributed to the Lenten Stations during the past weeks.

Stoneyford Remembrance Sunday Ceremony 2017:

A Remembrance Ceremony will take place on Easter Sunday 16th. April in Stoneyford.

It will cover the Great Irish Famine; The Dead of All Wars and the Centenary of the Easter Rising 1916-2016. The Ceremony will begin with the Celebration of Mass in Stoneyford Church at 11.00a.m. Note change of Mass time. No Mass at 10.00a.m.

Concert:

The Parents Association of Windgap National School are holding a Fundraiser Concert in Windgap Church on Thursday 6th. April at 7.30p.m. Performers on the night are the Trilogy Singers and their guests the Aluna Choir.   For further information contact Triona Moloney 087 779 6435.

Fás Community Employment:

There is a vacancy on the Fás Community Employment Scheme for the Newmarket/ Hugginstown area.

Anam Cara:

The organisation supports bereaved parents; it is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 10th. April from 7:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles.

Kilkenny Carer’s Support Group:

Next meeting on Tuesday April 4th. from 3.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. at The Village Day Centre. Information and support for past/present carers of people with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Everyone welcome. Drop in to group or for more information call 056 777 1230.

Stoneyford Active Retirement:

Meeting next Wednesday 5th. April at 2.30p.m. in the Community Centre(Library). Speakers on ‘Preventing Falls in the Home’ will attend.
