From This Day Forward

We stand together, side by side

On this our wedding day.

The joy and love that fills our hearts,

ls more than words can say.

Surrounded now by special friends

Our marriage voyage starts here.

We launch this boat we call true love

With those whom we hold dear.

Life’s ocean can at times be rough

And there may be storms before us.

But, we’ll sail through, into the blue

With our true love watching over us.

And then, in many many years,

By the fireside, old and grey.

A smile will dress our ageing lips

When we think about this day.
