Lucy was baptised in Stoneyford Church on Sunday 5th. March.

During Lent the Adult Faith Development, St. Kieran’s College are holding Parish Evening Retreats in the College.

Lenten Challenge!

Many people abstain from alcohol and take the Short-Term Pledge for the duration of Lent. Take this opportunity to help someone you know or love with an alcohol or drug problem by offering up your Lenten sacrifice as a prayer for their freedom and well-being. We can all make a difference for others.

Lenten Station Masses:

Lenten Station Masses will take place on Sunday 19th. March in Stoneyford Church at 10.00a.m. and in Hugginstown Church at 11.00a.m. Envelopes for Lenten Station Contributions at the Church Porch.

Franciscan Missionaries of Mary:

We welcome a representative of the Sisters from the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary who will speak

at all Masses this weekend 11th. and 12th. March.

World Meeting of Families:

A consultation meeting on resources will take place in the Cathedral Parish Centre, College Street, Carlow on Wednesday 15th. March from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m.   All are welcome.

The Annual Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from Monday, 22nd. May to Saturday, 27th. May 2017 inclusive. St. Mary’s Cathedral Restoration Fund Draw:

A new Draw will begin on Wednesday 29th. March. Tickets are available at the moment from the Parish House, Hugginstown. The draw will be held on the last Wednesday of each month with prize money €5,000.00 per month. Tickets must be in by Monday 27th. Stoneyford History & Heritage Society:

Meeting in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on Monday 13th. March at 7.30p.m. Plans for the year will be discussed including the Easter Remembrance Sunday. All are very welcome.

Hugginstown Playgroup:

Anam Cara:

The organisation supports bereaved parents. The next monthly Parent Evening is on Monday 20th. March from 7:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.

Table Quiz:

Fundraising Table Quiz run by Newmarket National School Parent’s Association will take place in Cleary’s, Hugginstown on Saturday 25th. March. All support greatly appreciated.

“Grow”:

“Grow” is a community-based mental health organisation which holds weekly meetings in your local community.  Grow meetings provide help and support to anyone experiencing mental health difficulties or struggling with any aspect of their mental wellbeing.  Meetings are confidential and no referral is necessary, simply come along. Grow promotes breaking social isolation and promoting social connectedness and is centred around the idea that ‘I alone can do itbut I cannot do it alone’.
