Work to be Done.
Dear All,
Thank you all so much. We had a wonderful turnout for our first Litter Pick of 2017. 20 volunteers gave up an hour of their time for our Community. We collected 12 bags of Litter made up in the main of plastic Bottles, Cans, cigarette boxes, fast food wrappings, tissues, sweet wrappings, tinfoil etc. We covered the following areas:
- The Community Centre
- Merino Drive
- Main St.
- Chapel View
- Kells Rd.
- Lawcus Fields
- Village Green
- Kilkenny Rd
- Lawcus Lane
- Ennisnag
- New Line
- Stonecarthy Rd
- Norelands Rd
- Jerpoint Rd
- Knocktopher Rd
Our next Litter Pick will take place on Saturday 4th March. Note all Litter Picks will take place on the first Saturday of each month going forward at 10.30am. If you missed out this time we look forward to seeing you next time.
Special thanks to two East Kilkenny sitting Councillors Paddy McKee & Malcolm Noonan and all who came along. See list attached. Thanks to Paddy O’Dwyer for collecting all the bags and taking them to the Recycle Centre.
