The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be celebrated around the world from January 18th. to January 25th. 2017.

Christmas Offerings 2016:

Many thanks for your very generous contributions to the Christmas Offerings over the Christmas period. These Offerings are for the support of the priests working and retired within the Diocese of Ossory. Extra Envelopes for the Offerings can be collected in the Church Porch, and your contributions may be handed in during the coming weeks.

Bingo:

Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30p.m.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes:

The annual Ossory pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from Monday, 22nd. May to Saturday, 27th. May 2017 inclusive. ‘Anam Cara’:

‘Anam Cara’, the national organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on Monday 16th of January from 7:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The guest speaker for the evening is Peter McCartan. This is a free event open to all bereaved parents. As ‘Anam Cara’ will need to confirm numbers for the event, please call 085 288 8888.

Enable Ireland:

The Annual Church Gate Collection for ‘Enable Ireland’ will take place on the weekend of 4th. and 5th. February 2017. The Church Gate Collection generates approximately €16,000.00 in revenue and is used to help finance the Services provided throughout Kilkenny to approximately 114 children and their families with Special Needs.

Day Care Centre for people living with Alzheimer’s/Dementia in Kilkenny is open Monday to Friday from 9.30a.m to 4.00p.m. Dementia specific care provided. Meals and transport. A choice of lots of activities; cards, music, dancing, bingo, art, exercise programmes, gardening, baking, knitting & day trips. For more info call Ruth on 056 777 1230.

Exercise Classes in Callan:

Chair Based Exercise Class welcomes beginners to join them in the Edmund Rice Centre, Callan on Mondays at 10.45a.m. starting the 16th. January. This is suitable for all with reduced mobility, great social chair based workout to music.   Pilates Classes will start on the 16th. January in ‘John Lockes’ Club Rooms at 12.00Noon. In order to make way for new books Stoneyford Library (Community Centre) is having a clearance of current stock.

Please feel free to take what you want before the 1st. February.

Mindfulness Workshop: 

If you’d like to try it, come to the Community Centre, Stoneyford on next Wednesday 18th. January from 2.30p.m to 4.00p.m.  All are very welcome.
