Stoneyford Church Choir:

Choir practise for Christmas on Tuesday 13th. December at 7.30p.m in Stoneyford Church. We would love some new members so if anyone is interested please to come along and bring another person with you on Tuesday.

Christmas Collection:

The local St. Vincent de Paul Society will hold their Christmas Collection after all Masses this weekend 10th. and 11th. December.

Bingo:

Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30p.m.

Remembrance:

The Annual Torchlight Procession from Hugginstown to the Carrickshock Monument will take place on Wednesday 14th. December at 8.00p.m..   All are welcome to take part.

Family Christmas Masses:

There will be Mass for Young Families and Children on Christmas Eve on Saturday 24th. December; In Stoneyford Church at 6.30p.m. and in Hugginstown Church at 7.00p.m. (Note change of time in Hugginstown Church). Many of the children will be taking an active part in these celebrations. They will be involved with the Choirs, Readings, Prayers, Gifts, Servers etc. All children are invited to bring a little gift for others who are in need. We ask parents to come with their children and to join in the singing of the Christmas Carols and to celebrate as family.

Senior Help Line:

Don’t be lonely this Christmas: Senior Help Line, Ireland’s only national listening service for older people, will be open every day over Christmas and the New Year from 10.00a.m. to 10.00p.m.  We are here to take your call if you are on your own, feeling isolated, worried or would like someone to talk to.  Christmas can be a sad time for many people, and in the midst of apparent universal gaiety, some of us can feel very alone.  Senior Help Line volunteers are trained older people who understand the ups and downs of life, and are happy to listen, to keep company and to support. Lo Call 1850 440 444, (no call costs more than 30cents; all calls completely confidential.)

Stoneyford Christmas Fair:

The annual Stoneyford Christmas Fair is taking place on Sunday 18th. December from 2.00p.m. to 5-30p.m. in the Community Centre . It promises to be a great day with Santa arriving to meet all the children in his grotto. There will be all the usual stalls and many new ones, coffee shop, wheel of fortune and a fantastic raffle on the day. All are very welcome.

“Anam Cara”:

The organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 19th. of December from 7.30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.

Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:

The ‘Get Together’ will take place on Tuesday 13th. December from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. in “Gáirdín an Ghorta”, Newmarket. All are very welcome.

Hugginstown Voluntary Housing:

House No. 5 is still vacant in Hugginstown. If you are interested in applying or know someone who may be eligible, please get an Application Form from the Secretary; Telephone 056 776 8008.
