November Offerings:

Extra Envelopes for the November Offerings are available in the Church Porch. Please use them for your offering, which can be returned during the month of November.

Remembrance Masses for November:

Remembrance Mass for the Faithful Departed will be celebrated in Hugginstown Church on this Saturday 12th. November at 8.00p.m.

All who have lost a family member during the past year will be invited to bring a candle to the alter in remembrance of their loved ones during the Mass; and all are invited to write down the names of their own departed ones and place them at the altar for the month of November. They will be remembered at all Masses during November.

The Rosary will be recited in Calvary Cemetery on Sunday 13th. November at 11.50a.m.

The Ossory Priests Society:

The Ossory Priests Society is responsible for making suitable provision for the care of the priests in the Diocese of Ossory in infirmity, sickness and old age. The Annual Collection in aid of Ossory Priests Society will take place next weekend 19th./20th.November after all Masses.

Mass for Deceased Past Pupils:

The Annual Mass for Deceased Past Pupils of St Kieran’s College and their family members will be held in St Kieran’s College Chapel on Friday 25th November at 7.30p.m. This is an opportunity to recall those we spent time with in St Kieran’s and our family members who have gone before us. Mass in the College Chapel followed by a coffee and chance to meet.

Benefit Night:

There will be a Benefit Gig in the Set Theatre, Langton’s on Friday 18th. November in order to raise funds for a Kilkenny musician who is currently undergoing cancer treatment in St Luke’s Hospital, First Act on Stage at 9.00pm. Tickets available from Langton’s or on the door.

Anam Cara:

Anam Cara, is an organisation that supports bereaved parents; it is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Monday 21st. November from 19:30p.m. to 21:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.

Jubilee Year of Mercy:

Next Sunday, November 20th. is the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe and is also the day chosen by Pope Francis for the official closing of the Jubilee Year of Mercy. All are invite to join in a Con-Celebrated Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny, on Sunday, at 5.30 p.m. After the celebration of Mass, the retired bishop Seamus Freeman will formally close the Holy Door in St. Mary’s Cathedral which he officially opened at the beginning of the Year of Mercy on the First Sunday of Advent last year. This Diocesan Celebration will also be an occasion to say thanks to Bishop Seamus for his service as Bishop for the last nine years.

Carrickshock G.A.A.

The Club wishes to sincerely thank all who contributed to the intermediate training fund, and to congratulate the Intermediate Team on their County Final success. The Leinster journey now begins; On Saturday November 19th. at 2.00p.m. Carrickshock will play Kiltale Co Meath  in Trim.
