Carrickshock G.A.A. 10 Deireadh Fómhair 2016

Intermediate Hurling

Carrickshock Intermediates put the disappointment of the League Final behind them with a very positive display in the Championship Quarter-Final in Kilmanagh on Saturday. Facing Lisdowney, who had won the corresponding League fixture comfortably, Carrickshock were in determined mood from the start. Working hard all over the field, things were still close for the 1st 12 minutes, but once Kevin Farrell fired to the net after a great catch, they never looked back. It finished 1-20 to 0-8 and puts them into a semi-final on the weekend of October 22/23. Check sports pages for the semi-final draw.

Juvenile Training

All the underage groups, from Under 6 to Under 14, had their final training session of the season on Sunday in Hugginstown. After a long summer of training, matches & blitzes, it was great to see such a big  turnout. With the sun playing its part and goodies, teas and cakes laid on, everyone went home with a smile. A big thank you to all who helped out on the morning.
