Junior A Hurling
Carrickshock Junior A’s came away from Mullinavat Sunday evening with a comprehensive win over Tullogher in the 1st round of the Championship. Playing into the breeze in the 1st half, they went in a point down, but well in the game. In the 2nd half they got well on top and turned it into an 8 point victory, 2-14 to 0-12. Well done lads, and here’s hoping for another good run in the Championship as they defend their Junior A South title.
Minor Hurling
The minors put on a spirited performance in the League in Hugginstown on Wednesday evening. After a couple of recent disappointing displays, and facing unbeaten Ballyragget, they worked extremely hard to get a draw, 1-7 to 1-7. Carrickshock kept them scoreless for the 2nd half and with a couple of goal chances near the end could have pulled off a deserved win.
