Carrickshock G.A.A. 17 Iúil 2016

Junior A Hurling

The Junior A’s visited Inistioge on Saturday evening for the last round of the Junior A league. Missing  a few regulars, this was always going to be a tough ask against in-form Rower-Inistioge. The Rower came out on top, by 3-16 to 2-10. But the big one for the Junior A’s comes next Sunday 24th as the championship starts proper. Carrickshock face Tullogher in Mullinavat at 7:00.

Under 16 Hurling

There was no joy for the Under 16s in the League semi-final on Sunday night in Larchfield. The boys gave it everything and matched a very strong Village outfit most of the way. It finished 7-8 to 3-8, which in no way reflected the effort the boys put in. And it was great to see the Carrickshock support outnumbering the hosts about 2 to 1. All gave huge encouragement and got full value for the trip into town.

Under 12s

The Under 12s took part in a blitz on Sunday as part of the Castlegannon Show. They’re in great form at the moment and came out on top against Dunnamaggin, Ballyhale and Mullinavat.
