Year of Mercy:
Pope Francis has asked that each Cathedral would open a ‘Holy Door’ for the Jubilee Year of Mercy. The parishes of the Southern Deanery are holding a Pilgrimage Day in this Jubilee Year on Sunday 19th. June. All will gather in the Black Abbey in Kilkenny at 3.30p.m.; where there will be an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Leaving the Black Abbey they will make the jubilee walk to the Cathedral stopping along the way at the statue of Our Lady on James’ Green. They will then proceed to through the Holy Door and attend Mass in the Cathedral at 5.30pm. All are welcome.
June Collection:
The “June Collection 2016” for the support of the priests of the Parish and the Diocese will be taken up during the month of June. Envelopes for this collection are available in Porch.

‘Anam Cara’, the Organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding its monthly Parent Evening on Monday 20th. June from 7:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles. All ‘Anam Cara’ Services are available free of charge to bereaved parents.

Bicentenary of St. Peter’s Church, Ennisnag
Celebration will take place on Friday 1st. July at 7.00p.m. Service of Evening Prayer with an address by Dr. Adrian Empey, (Historian and Former Rector). Refreshments will be available in Ennisnag Lounge after Service. All warmly welcome.

The Newmarket/Hugginstown Development Association is to establish a working group to identify how to campaign for and to deliver high speed broadband to the area. If you are interested in being part of this group please text or call 087 267 0698.
Youth Leadership Programme:
Aged 15 – 18 years? Interested in developing the skills, inspiration, vision and confidence to become an effective leader? Then the Foróige Leadership for Life Programme may be for you! Over the days you will meet new people, learn about your own skills and how to work as a team, consider what it is to be a leader and much more. This programme will be run at the Foróige Drum Youth Centre in Kilkenny from Tuesday June 28th. to Friday July 1st. Parental consent required.
