World Youth Day 2016:

World Youth Day will be celebrated in Krakow from the 25th. to 31st. July 2016.  Young people, over the age of 18 years of age are invited to take part. Please contact Fr. Easter Offerings:

Many Thanks for your Easter Offerings Contributions during the past week. Extra envelopes are available at the Church Porch. Please take one and return it with your offering during the Easter Season. This offering is for the support of the priests of the Parish and Diocese.

Vocations Sunday:

Vocations Sunday will be celebrated on this Sunday 17th. April: the theme “The Church, Mother of Vocations”. Pope Francis has issued a Pastoral Message and it can read in full on www.vocations.ie. We invite all to pray for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life on Vocations Sunday and throughout the year.

Mass for Vocations Sunday will be broadcast from the RTÉ studios in Donnybrook, Dublin, on Sunday 17th. April at 11.00am. The Celebrant will be Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, Bishop of Waterford and Lismore.

Volunteers:

Jubilee Volunteers are needed in Rome for this year. Volunteers are asked to give at least a week (or 4 days for the major events) in Rome. The Volunteers will welcome pilgrims at several meeting points, providing information about the services available to pilgrims; they will accompany pilgrims on the pathways designated specifically for them to reach the Papal Basilicas. To become a candidate, you must fill out the application form which can be got from Ossory Adult Faith Development or from www.ossory.ie.

Gluten Free In-store Event:

The Love Gluten Free In-Store event will take place in Super Valu Store, Loughboy Kilkenny on Monday 18th. April. from 7.00p.m. to 9.00p.m. The event will be supported by the local Coeliac Support Group, outlining the benefits and support the Coeliac Society offer those suffering from Coeliac Disease, as well as for their families.

Irish Blood Transfusion Service:

The Mobile Clinic will visit Kilkenny City: Your blood donation will make a difference.

God our Father, send workers into your harvest. May the Spirit we receive in Baptism, touch the hearts of many to offer themselves in Priesthood, Religious Life and in other forms of service. Give the parents and families of our parish the wisdom and courage to support our young people, in searching for and following the call of God in their lives. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
