Concert:

Summer Time begins this weekend. Clocks go forward one hour on this Saturday night 26^th. March. 2016. Summer Time ends on Saturday 29^th. October 2016.

St. Mary’s Cathedral Restoration Fund Draw:

A new Draw will begin on Wednesday 30^th. March. Tickets are available at the moment at €10.00 per month from the Parish House, Hugginstown. The draw will be held on the last Wednesday of each month with prize money €5,000.00 per month. Tickets must be in by Monday 28^th. Carer Support Group:

Kilkenny Carer Support Group will meet on Tuesday 5^th. April from 4.00p.m. to 5.30p.m. at The Village Day Centre (behind the Village Inn Pub). Information and support for past/present carers of people with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Everyone welcome.

Annual Remembrance Ceremoney:

St Luke’s Hospital will be holding it’s Annual Remembrance Ceremony for families who have been bereaved by the death of their child through miscarriage, still-birth or early infancy death. This ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 13^th. in St Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy, Kilkenny at 7.30pm. While we issue a special invitation to families who have been bereaved during the past year, this ceremony is for all families who have been bereaved, regardless of how long ago. Refreshments will be available for everyone after the ceremony.

Divine Mercy Sunday:

Celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday on 3^rd April at the Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny from 2.00p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Rosary, Chaplet of Mercy, Confession, Holy Hour, Mass at 4.00 p.m., with blessing of St. Faustina Relic. All are welcome. For further information contact Kathleen Collins at  086 124 4934

The Newmarket/Hugginstown Community Text Alert:

The Text Alert has started successfully with close to 150 people joined up. Anyone still wishing to join may do so by contacting any of the following committee members: Stephen Cassin, Willie Barron, Cleeve Cuddihy or Carmel O’Toole. Signs have been erected throughout the area with the telephone number for Thomastown Garda Station 056 775 4150, which is to be contacted to report suspicious behaviour.

Family Carers:

Family Carers Ireland will hold a launch in their Outreach Centre at Barrowvale Community Centre, Graiguecullen Carlow on Friday 8^th.April from 11.00am to1.00p.m. Guest Speaker will be Rachel Doyle, Arboretum Leighlinbridge. All are welcome. For more information contact 086 008 464.
