Carrickshock Bord na n-Óg 12 Deireadh Fómhair 2015

Juvenile Training

The final training session of the season for our Under-6 to Under-14 teams was held on Saturday last. All Ireland medal winner Richie Power had a few words of wisdom for the boys, as well as Liam McCarthy on display. Other Carrickshock players, Damien Walsh, Aaron O’Neill and Kevin Farrell led the teams through some drills. With teas and buns on offer and a selection of cups on display from various victories over the past few weeks – U8 Dunamaggin Blitz, U10 Stoneyford Blitz, U12 Piltown Blitz & U14 St. Molleran’s tournament – it was a great way to round off the season. A big thank you to Richie and the other players, and to all the parents who helped out on the day.

School’s Football

The school’s football team kept up their good run with a win over Mullinavat last Wednesday in Stoneyford. It keeps up their chances of making the knock-out rounds. Next up is a trip to Graignamanagh on Wednesday 14th.

Race Night

Carrickshock Bord na nOg will hold a fundraising Race Night on Saturday 31st October in Malzard’s Stoneyford. This is the main fundraising event of the year for our juvenile section and we would ask all families to support it. Race cards are available from any of the club coaches or officials.
