Carrickshock Bord na n-Óg 10 Bealtaine 2015

Under 16 Hurling

Carrickshock visited Tullaroan last Monday 4th for the 2nd round of the league. The Shocks put on a good display but unluckily came up short by a point, 5-5 to 2-13. A couple of soft goals in the 1st half was their undoing, and despite storming back into it in the 2nd half it wasn’t enough in the end. But the performance level was good and hopefully we’ll have better news after Monday’s (11th) match against Cloneen.

Under 14 Hurling

The Under 14s will try to get their league campaign back on track when they make the trip to Clogh on this Friday 15th to take on Cloneen..

Schools Hurling

Carrickshock continued their good run last Wednesday 6th with a win over Danesfort in the quarter-final of the Tommy O’Brien cup. As it happens, their next game on this Wednesday 13th is against the same opposition in the quarter-final of the League Championship. The boys will be well aware that Danesfort weren’t at full strength last week and will take nothing for granted this time around. Best of luck boys.

Colleges Final

Best of luck to Jake O’Dwyer, who will be flying the Carrickshock flag in this Wednesday’s Leinster Colleges Juvenile Final. Jake is part of the Kilkenny CBS team who face city rivals St. Kieran’s in the final, a repeat of their league encounter a few weeks back.
