Spring

Spring has sprung!

The days are getting longer, evenings are brighter

and the sight of daffodils in the garden brings hope

and the promise for the future.

I’m planting four different types of lettuce this year

along with cucumber, tomatoes, courgettes and

lots of onions, I pray that they will fill our salad

bowl through the summer.

Kindly God, as I prepare to do battle with the slugs

and snails, gently remind me that this bountiful

earth can produce enough for all of us.
