Carrickshock Bord na n-Óg March/April 2015
Minors & Under 16s
League games are coming thick and fast for our Minors and Under 16s. The minors have 3 games over the Easter period: Dicksboro B on Tue 31st (Palmerstown), James Stephens B on Fri 3rd (Hugginstown) and Barrow Rangers on Thurs 9th (Hugginstown). Under 16s play their 1st round league match in the middle of all that, against O’Loughlin’s B on Easter Monday 6th (Hugginstown). All games throw in 6.30pm. Lets get out and support the boys, especially for the home games.
Feile Skills Competition
Well done to Luke McNamara, winner of the club’s Under 14 Feile Skills competition on Sunday morning. Luke will now go forward to represent Carrickshock in the County Final on this Friday (Good Friday) in Nowlan Park. Best of luck Luke.
Schools Hurling
The schools hurling team were honoured with a run-out at Nowlan Park last Sunday. They played the half-time game in front of a packed house during Kilkenny’s crucial League Relegation play-off against Clare. Graignamanagh/Skeough provided the opposition, and with the skill level on show there’s every chance their paths will cross again in the season ahead.
Also, they’ve had a good start to both the league and cup in the past 2 weeks. They started the league with a win over the Rower Inistioge and beat Kilmacow in the 1st round of the Tommy O’Brien Cup. Next up is Mullinavat after the Easter Holidays.
Hurling Training
