Lenten Lunch-Time Talks:

A series of Talks will take place on Mondays during Lent at 1.05p.m in the Chapter House, St. Mary’s Cathedral.

These Talks will be just a short input of about ten minutes and then soup and sandwiches will be provided for all who attend.

First Penance will be celebrated with the pupils of Monroe and Newmarket Schools in

Hugginstown Church on Tuesday 10th. March at 7.30p.m.

Parish Pastoral Council:

A meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council will be held in the Parish House, Hugginstown on next Wednesday 11th. March at 8.00p.m.

This meeting is brought forward from 25th. March.   We ask all members to please attend if possible.

“24 Hours for the Lord”:

The initiative entitled ‘24 Hours for the Lord’ will be celebrated once again this year on 13th. and 14th March. Pope Francis will preside at a Penitential Celebration in St. Peter’s Basilica

in order to place the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the centre of the Church’s mission of the new evangelization. For local events in Kilkenny City see Notice Board in Churches.

St. Joseph’s Young Priests Society:

This is a Lay Organisation who pray for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.

The Society in Stoneyford is seeking new volunteers, if interested please contact 085 145 5165.

Monroe School:

Meeting of the Board of Management in the school on Thursday, 12th. March at 8.00p.m.

Collection:

The Collection in Aid of the “St. Vincent de Paul Society” will be held after all Masses this weekend

St. Mary’s Cathedral Restoration Fund Draw:

Bishop Seamus Freeman has launched the fundraising campaign in the Diocese, necessary to renovate and conserve St. Mary’s Cathedral. This is a very big project in the Diocese and will need the support of every parish. Promoters will be needed in every parish to make the draw a success. If you can help, please let us know. Tickets are available at the moment at €10.00 per month from the Parish House, Hugginstown. The draw will be held on the last Wednesday of each month with the first draw on Wednesday 25th. March 2015.
