Lenten Station Mass will take place in Stoneyford Church on this Sunday 1st. March at 10.00a.m.  and in Hugginstown Church on next Sunday 8th. March. at 11.00a.m.

Lenten Lunch-Time Talks:

A series of Talks will take place on Mondays during Lent at 1.05p.m in the Chapter House, St. Mary’s Cathedral.

These Talks will be just a short input of about ten minutes and then soup and sandwiches will be provided for all who attend.

St. Mary’s Cathedral Restoration Fund Draw:

During the past weeks Bishop Seamus Freeman launched the fundraising campaign in the three Deaneries of the Diocese, necessary to renovate and conserve St. Mary’s Cathedral.  This is a very big project in the Diocese and will need the support of every parish.  Promoters will be needed in every parish in make the draw a success.  If you can help, please let us know.  Tickets are available at the moment at €10.00 per month.  The draw will be held on the last Wednesday of each month with the first draw on Wednesday 25th. March.

Stoneyford History & Heritage Society will hold a public meeting at Community Centre on Monday 2nd. March at 8.00p.m.

Tidy Towns Public Meeting in the Community Centre on ‘Environment & Parks’ will take place on Thursday 5th. March at 7.30pm.

Tidy Towns ‘Litter Pick’ Day on Saturday 7th.March.  Help needed and all meet at the Community Centre from 11.00a.m. to 1.00p.m.

A Night of Music & Dance in aid of Stoneyford Tidy Towns, will be held in the Stoneyford Centre on Saturday 7th. March.  Doors Open at 9pm. Light refreshments Served. Door Prize & Raffle.

South Kilkenny Historical Society:

A Lecture on Nicholas Wiseman, the first English Cardinal since the Reformation – South Kilkenny connections.  The Speaker will be Mr. Julian Walton.  It will take place in Mullinavat Parish Hall on Friday, March 6th. at 8.00p.m.

Carrickshock Juvenile GA.A.:

Carrickshock Juvenile G.A.A. Club and Camogie Club will hold their Registration Day on Saturday 7th. March in Hugginstown Centre at 2.00p.m. please bring Hurl and Helmet . Registration Fee for the year is now due. New members welcome .

Coeliac Support Group:

The Kilkenny/Carlow Coeliac Support Group will be holding its next meeting on Monday March 2nd. at 8.00p.m. in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre Loughboy. Anyone  affected by the Coeliac disease is welcome to attend.

Occupational First Aid:  Training will take place on April 16th.  April 23rd. and April 30th. in Seville Lodge, Callan Road, Kilkenny from 9:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. each day.
