New Enrolments are now being taken at Stoneyford National School for the school year beginning September 2015. Closing date for Enrolment is 1st. March. Please call to the school; or phone 056 772 8393 for an Enrolment Form.

Catholic Schools Week:

Catholic Schools Week has been celebrated in Ireland for the last five years. This annual event calls on Catholic schools to give expression in a special way to a particular aspect of Catholic Education. The Theme of Catholic Schools Week 2015 is ‘Catholic Schools: Called to Serve’. It will run from 25th. January to 1st. February.

Taizé Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage:

The third youth pilgrimage to Taizé in France organised by Ossory Youth and under the patronage of the Bishop of Ossory will take place from 16th. to 23rd. August 2015. The Taizé Community is an ecumenical monastic order in Taizé, Saone-et-Loire, Burgundy, France. Over 100,000 young people from around the world make a pilgrimage to Taizé each year.

The Pilgrimage is open to Transition Year, 5th Year and Leaving Cert Students and the closing date for applications is Friday 13th. February 2015. Numbers are confined to 25 young people. Carrickshock Camogie Club:

Carrickshock Camogie Club will hold their A.G.M. on Friday the 6th. February at 8.00p.m. in the Club Rooms, Hugginstown.

Scoil Aireagail Bingo:

Scoil Aireagail will be the venue for Sunday afternoon Bingo on 1st. February at 2.30 pm. The event is being organised by Scoil Aireagail Parents’ Council and all funds raised will go towards the infrastructural development of the school. There are great prizes on offer; All are welcome to come along and try their luck while supporting the development of improved facilities for the students.

Carrickshock G.A.A:

Carrickshock GAA Social and Medal Presentation for the Minor Champions and U21 Shield medals will be presented by Brian Hogan on Saturday 31st. January at 8.00p.m. in Carrolls, Knocktopher. There will be music and finger food available. Children are free; with tickets on sale from club officials; in shops and pubs. A great night is guaranteed.

‘Enable Ireland’:

The Annual Church Gate Collection in aid of the “O’Neill Centre”, Kilkenny will be taken up on the weekend 7th./8th. February.
