Reflection:
There is a sense of looking forward in today’s readings, which are all about promises that God would dwell among his people – a young girl was told she would conceive a bear a son, ‘and so the child will be Holy and will be called the Son of God’, which means God will be with us. Mary said ‘Yes’ to God in her response, ‘I am the handmaid of the Lord’. God still dwells in our hearts and we are needed as helpers to bring the good news of His love wherever we go.
