Remembrance Masses for November:

Remembrance Mass for the Faithful Departed will be celebrated in Hugginstown Church on Saturday 8th. November at 8.00p.m. 

and in Stoneyford Church on  Saturday 15th. November at 6.30p.m. 

All who have lost a family member during the past year will be invited to bring a candle to the alter in remembrance of their loved ones during the Mass;

and all are invited to write down the names of their own departed ones and place them at the altar for the month of November.  They will be remembered at all Masses during November.

The Rosary will be recited in Stoneyford Cemetery on Sunday 2nd. November at 10.40a.m.

November Offerings:

Envelopes for the November Offerings are available in the Church Porch. 

Please use them for your offering, which can be returned during the month of November.

Newmarket/Hugginstown Social Club:

The ‘Get Together’ will take place on Tuesday 4th. November from 2.00p.m. to 4.30p.m. in “Gáirdín an Ghorta”, Newmarket. 

Mass will be celebrated for all our Faithful Departed at 2.30p.m.  All are very welcome.

Stoneyford Development Association:

The Field Lights at the Community Centre will be left on between 7.00p.m. and 10.00p.m. on Mondays to Fridays 

for people who want a safe place to walk or run during the winter.

Bingo:

Bingo Session in the Community Centre, Stoneyford on every Tuesday at 8.30p.m

Irish Wheelchair Association:

The Irish Wheelchair Association will hold its national fund raiser “Angel Days” on Thursday 6th. and Friday 7th. November.  Angel Pins, Angel Phone Charms and Angel Fun Packs will be on sale at various locations throughout Kilkenny City and surrounding Towns. All funds raised are spent on services for local people with physical & sensory disabilities. Thank you for your ongoing support

Bowling:

‘Short Mat Bowling’ and Go For Life games are resuming in the Watershed on Tuesday the 4th. Nov. from 8.00p.m to 9.00p.m.  No experience is necessary. First night is free to all. All are welcome.

Droichead Family Resource Centre, Callan:

Pilates: A Chair Based exercise class will begin on Monday, November 3rd. and will continue for 6 weeks. The class will start at 10.45a.m. Participants can enjoy a cup of tea after the class.  For further information: Telephone: 056 775 5660

Book Launch:

Please join Tom Burnell and the Kilkenny Great War Memorial Committee for the launch of his book commemorating the ‘778 Kilkenny War Dead’.  Attending will be journalist and author Kevin Myers.

It will take place on Sunday 2nd. November in Springhill Hotel at 4.30p.m.  Also take part in the Centenary March with Veteran Groups, and see a display of Vehicles and a Re-enactment on The Parade, Kilkenny at 2.00p.m.
